Quick answer
The Social Content skill is a planning and drafting framework, not an autoposter. Its source covers platform-specific formats, content pillars, hooks, repurposing workflows, calendars, and performance review. The practical value is converting one well-defined idea into several reviewable channel drafts without treating every platform as a copy-and-paste destination.
What it can help you make
Given a product, audience, objective, and source idea, the framework can help assemble:
- content pillars and the job each pillar should do;
- platform-specific draft angles for channels such as LinkedIn, X, and Instagram;
- a batching or calendar outline; and
- questions to review after posting, such as whether the hook, format, and CTA fit the chosen channel.
The skill's broad coverage does not make it a source of current platform policy, publishing permission, or predicted engagement.
What it produced from a real Tomako article
We gave the skill a published Tomako long-form article, a waitlist-and-brand goal, and an indie-builder audience for X, LinkedIn, and Reddit. It returned channel-specific draft angles and a weekly publishing outline, giving us a usable starting point for review instead of asking the team to begin from a blank page.
No post from that run was published as a performance test. What the exercise did validate is the workflow: one detailed source can become distinct, editable channel drafts without losing the original product message.
When it fits
Use it after you can state the product message, target reader, and next action in one or two sentences. Start with one source idea and one or two channels. Review the drafts for truthfulness, audience fit, and repetition before expanding the cadence.
Avoid using it to create a month of generic posts from a vague product description. More volume is not a substitute for a useful perspective or permission to publish on someone else's behalf.
Turn a draft into an editable asset
The social post kit is a useful place to turn an approved angle into a reusable post structure. For profile consistency, pair it with the social profile kit rather than assuming a content draft will maintain your brand voice by itself.
